EXPERIENCE THE POWER OF YOUR BREATH
Breathwork Breakthrough Session
When life feels overwhelming, it’s easy to become disconnected from yourself.
You know you’re carrying a lot.
You spend most of your time thinking, managing, coping and holding everything together.
But underneath the mental noise, your body often knows exactly what needs attention.
Breathwork is one of the most powerful ways I know to gently shift what has been held in the body, calm the nervous system, and reconnect with the deeper part of you that already knows what’s true.
This session is a chance to experience that for yourself.
If you’ve been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, exhausted, or disconnected from who you are beneath all the responsibilities and pressure, this is a simple but powerful place to begin.
This session is designed to give you a genuine experience of how I work.
Rather than simply talking about breathwork or coaching, you’ll have the opportunity to experience for yourself what can happen when you step out of the constant mental noise and give your body and nervous system space to settle.
Many women come to me because they know something needs to change, but they’re not sure what that change looks like or where to begin.
This session offers a safe, supportive space to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and explore what might be most helpful for you moving forward.
What happens during a session?
We’ll begin with a brief conversation about where you are right now and what you’d most like support with.
I’ll then guide you through a gentle breathwork practice, tailored to meet you where you are. No previous experience is needed, and you’ll be supported throughout.
Afterwards, we’ll spend some time reflecting on your experience, any insights that emerged, and what might be most helpful for you moving forward.
This is an opportunity to experience the work directly, ask questions, and get a feel for whether this approach is right for you.
Hi, I’m Cathy!
I absolutely love guiding these sessions.
There’s something incredibly powerful about witnessing what happens when a woman slows down enough to really listen to herself — often for the first time in a long time.
I’m a trauma-informed, certified breathwork facilitator, transformation coach and mindfulness guide, with over 25 years of experience in the wellbeing space.
I work with women who are holding a lot — navigating stress, life transitions, or simply feeling disconnected from who they really are.
This work helps you come back to yourself.
With more calm, clarity and self-trust.

What is Breathwork?
Breathwork is a simple but powerful way of working with the body and nervous system.
When we’re stressed or overwhelmed, our breathing often becomes shallow or restricted — and over time, this can keep us stuck in patterns of tension, anxiety or emotional holding.
Breathwork gently brings awareness back to the body, helping you release what’s been held and reconnect with a more grounded, regulated state.
It incorporates various techniques and traditions, from ancient practices like yoga’s pranayama and Taoist methods to modern approaches such as Rebirthing, Holotropic Breathwork, and the Wim Hof Method.
While these practices have ancient roots, modern science is now proving that breathwork can enhance general well-being and happiness while alleviating symptoms associated with menopause, stress, anxiety, insomnia, depression, PTSD, ADHD, inflammation, low immunity, and indigestion… and much more!
How does it work?
Your breath is incredibly powerful.
It’s the bridge between your body, mind and emotions — and it reflects how safe, stressed, open or guarded you’re feeling in any given moment.
When we don’t want to feel something — whether that’s stress, anxiety, anger, sadness or fear — we often unconsciously restrict or hold the breath as a way of coping.
This can bring short-term relief. But over time, it can also keep those emotions held in the body, contributing to patterns of tension, overwhelm, and feeling stuck.
Breathwork gently brings awareness back to this process.
By working with the breath in a conscious, supported way, you begin to:
- regulate your nervous system
- soften protective patterns
- and safely reconnect with what’s been sitting beneath the surface
In a session, you’re guided to stay present with your experience — not overwhelmed by it, but supported within it.
As you allow yourself to feel what’s there, the body can begin to release what it’s been holding.
From that place, something shifts.
You may find:
- greater clarity around situations or patterns
- a sense of emotional release or lightness
- a deeper connection to yourself
Over time, this work builds self-awareness, emotional resilience, and a greater capacity to move through life with more ease and trust in yourself.
What will I experience during the session?
The breathing technique I’ll guide you through helps you become aware of how open or restricted your breath naturally is, while gently bringing to the surface anything that may be held in the body.
Rather than forcing anything, this process allows you to safely connect with what’s been sitting beneath the surface — often linked to past experiences that haven’t been fully processed — so it can begin to shift and integrate.
A full breathwork session usually lasts between 1½ to 2 hours. This 45-minute session is enough to give you a meaningful experience of how your breath can support you. You may notice emotions arising or new insights coming through — sometimes in surprising ways — but it’s held as a gentle introduction rather than a deep dive.
Every session is different.
What we work with depends on what’s happening in your life right now, what you’re ready for, and what feels safe to explore in the moment.
During the session, you might experience a sense of calm, emotional release, or a deeper connection to yourself and your body.
If emotions arise, you’ll be supported to allow them — without pressure or judgement — in a way that feels safe and manageable for you.
This is a confidential, supportive space where whatever comes up is welcome, valid, and part of your process.
How do I prepare for the session?
Before your session
When you book your session, you’ll be guided to choose a time that works for you and complete a short intake form.
Sharing a little about where you are right now helps me support you more effectively — so we can use our time together in the most meaningful way.
Setting yourself up
- Choose a quiet, comfortable space where you won’t be disturbed
- Make sure you’re warm and able to relax
- Have some water nearby
- You may wish to have a journal to note anything that arises
For this session, you’ll be seated upright with your camera positioned so I can see your breath (from your chest to your belly).
What to wear
Wear something loose and comfortable that allows your breath to move freely.
Before you arrive
It’s best to avoid eating for 1–2 hours beforehand, so your body can feel more open and at ease during the session.
Where we’ll meet
We’ll meet on Zoom.
You’ll receive the link when you book your session.
A little note on safety
This is a trauma-informed and carefully held space.
While this is a gentle practice, breathwork can sometimes bring up physical or emotional responses. By booking, you’re confirming that you feel resourced to take part.
You’ll be asked to read and agree to a short waiver when booking, and you’re always welcome to reach out if you have any questions beforehand.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Email me at cathy@cathyballard.com
