Becoming Her – The Programme
An eight-week small group experience to help you reconnect with yourself and begin living in a way that feels true to who you are now.
Becoming Her is for women who have reached a point where they know something needs to change.
From the outside, life may look successful.
But inside, something feels out of alignment.
You might recognise yourself if you:
• feel disconnected from yourself beneath the responsibilities of everyday life
• spend more time thinking about what you should do than noticing what you actually need
• have lost trust in your own decisions
• keep putting yourself at the bottom of the list
• know you’re capable of more but aren’t sure what that looks like anymore
• long to feel calmer, clearer and more like yourself again
The Themes We’ll Explore Together
These themes form the heart of Becoming Her. Each live circle blends guided reflection, experiential practices, breathwork, coaching, meaningful conversation and time for personal insight. While these themes provide the framework, every group unfolds in response to the women in the room, creating space for your own experience to emerge.
Meeting Yourself Again
We begin by slowing down enough to hear yourself again.
So much of life pulls our attention outwards. This is an opportunity to reconnect with the quieter part of yourself beneath the roles, responsibilities and expectations.
Not the woman you think you should be. The woman you already are.
Noticing What’s True
Awareness is where change begins.
Together we’ll explore what gives you energy, what drains you, where you’ve been overriding yourself, and what your thoughts, feelings and body have been trying to tell you.
The more honestly you see yourself, the easier it becomes to recognise what feels true for you now.
Understanding Yourself
Looking beneath the surface with curiosity and compassion.
We’ll explore the beliefs, experiences, expectations and protective patterns that have shaped the way you relate to yourself and the world.
Not to judge them, but to understand how they’ve helped you – and whether they still belong in the life you’re living now.
Finding Your Balance
Supporting your nervous system so change feels possible.
You’ll learn simple breathwork and regulation practices that help you feel calmer, more grounded and better able to navigate life’s inevitable ups and downs.
These become practical tools you can return to whenever you need them.
Listening to Your Inner Wisdom
Learning to trust yourself again.
Through breathwork, reflection and intuitive practices, you’ll begin listening beneath the busy mind and reconnecting with the wiser, steadier part of yourself.
Many women realise the answers they were searching for weren’t missing. They simply hadn’t had the space to hear them.
Moving Forward
Creating a life that reflects who you are now.
Together we’ll reflect on what’s changing, celebrate what you’ve discovered, and explore how you’ll continue making choices that feel true to you long after the programme has finished.
The goal isn’t to leave with all the answers. It’s to leave knowing how to find them within yourself.
More Than Understanding
One of the biggest shifts isn’t learning something new.
The women who join Becoming Her already understand themselves well. They’ve read the books, listened to the podcasts and spent years trying to work things out.
What they’ve often been missing isn’t insight. It’s the opportunity to experience themselves differently. To notice what changes when they stop constantly analysing, striving and overriding their own needs.
Because lasting change doesn’t come from knowing more or thinking your way through.
It comes when you give yourself permission to honour what you’ve known for a long time.
Permission to say no.
Permission to change your mind.
Permission to stop carrying what isn’t yours.
Permission to want something different.
And permission to trust yourself enough to act on what you already know is true.
When women do that, life often begins to shift far more quickly than they expected.
The Power of Being Seen
Because lasting change happens in relationship as much as reflection.
This is a space where you don’t have to keep everything together.
Where you don’t need to pretend you’re fine.
Where you can arrive exactly as you are, be met without judgement, and discover that you’re not the only woman who’s been carrying so much for so long.
Everything inside Becoming Her is invitational. There’s no pressure to share more than feels comfortable and no expectation to get anything “right”. You are always free to engage in the way that feels right for you.
Sometimes the greatest shift comes simply from being seen, understood and having the space to hear yourself again.
I joined the group when my business was in a state of flux and I felt the need to look after myself while transitioning through a very difficult time for me.
The support from Cathy and everyone in the group really helped me come through feeling less battered than I might have been without them.
I love the calm energy, the invitation to just be with whatever is coming up, no need to defend, excuse or change anything, just a willingness to hold space, an invitation to accept things as they are and encouragement to just be in the moment. So special, and so important.
I’m looking forward to going through again, and experiencing it from a different angle now I’ve come through the difficult time.

Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to the most common questions about Becoming Her. This section aims to provide clarity and address any concerns you may have.
How do I know if Becoming Her is right for me?
You don’t need to feel completely certain before you join.
If you’ve found yourself quietly thinking, “This feels like me,” or recognising your own experience as you’ve read this page, that’s often a good indication that Becoming Her could be the right next step.
And if you’re still unsure, you’re welcome to book a complimentary conversation. We’ll talk about where you are, what you’re looking for, and whether it feels like the right fit. There’s no pressure to join.
I've already read the books, listened to the podcasts and done years of personal development. How is Becoming Her different?
Many women arrive with a deep understanding of themselves. What they’ve often been missing isn’t insight, but the opportunity to experience themselves differently.
Lasting change rarely comes from another insight alone. It comes from feeling safe enough to stop overriding yourself, trust what you already know and begin living from that place.
What if I'm quite private?
You never have to share anything that doesn’t feel comfortable.
Some women like to talk through what they’re discovering, while others prefer to reflect quietly. Both are equally welcome. There is no pressure to speak, perform or have everything figured out.
Will I be expected to make big changes?
Not at all.
Some women make significant changes during or after the programme. Others begin with much smaller shifts, such as setting healthier boundaries, listening to themselves more often or making decisions with greater confidence.
Becoming Her isn’t about changing your life overnight. It’s about changing your relationship with yourself so that the right next steps become clearer.
Do I need any experience of breathwork?
Not at all.
Becoming Her is designed for women who are completely new to breathwork as well as those who have explored personal development for years.
Everything is gently guided and always invitational. You are free to participate in the way that feels right for you.
Is Becoming Her therapy?
No. Becoming Her isn’t therapy or group counselling.
It’s a guided personal development programme that blends reflective coaching, breathwork, nervous system regulation, somatic and intuitive awareness and experiential practices to help you reconnect with yourself and move forward with greater clarity and self-trust.
What if I don't know exactly what's wrong?
You don’t need to.
Many women arrive simply knowing something feels “off”. They can’t always explain it, but they know they’ve become disconnected from themselves or the life they’re living no longer feels like it fits.
Becoming Her gives you the space to understand what’s beneath that feeling.
What if I miss a live session?
Life happens.
If you can’t attend a session, you’ll still be able to continue your journey. (Adjust this depending on whether you provide recordings or another form of support.)
Trust Yourself
You’ve spent enough time looking outside yourself for the right answers.
If something in Becoming Her has quietly resonated with you, perhaps that’s enough for now.
Whether you choose to join the next circle or simply begin listening to yourself more closely, trust what you already know.
If you’d like to explore whether Becoming Her is the right next step, you’re welcome to book a complimentary conversation. Or if you have any questions, email me at cathy@cathyballard.com
