A free pause practice for women who know there’s more
You’re doing life. But something in you knows there’s more.
Five simple pauses to help you notice what modern life keeps drowning out – and make a little more room for yourself again.
Over the next five days, I’ll send you one small pause each day – something simple to try inside real life, without needing extra time, preparation or a quiet house.
Begin with one small pause.
Pop your details below and I’ll send it over.

When life finally pauses, why is it still so hard to hear yourself?
You finally get a little time to yourself.
The house is quiet.
The meeting is over.
The demands pause for a moment.
And you think, maybe now…
Maybe now I’ll rest.
Maybe now I’ll breathe.
Maybe now I’ll feel what I actually need or want.
But instead, you scroll.
You answer a few emails.
You fill the space with tiny tasks.
And somehow, the time disappears.
Again.
It would be easy to call it distraction, tiredness, or just another busy day.
But underneath, something in you knows it’s more than that.
It’s the ache of realising your life has become so full of noise, responsibility and expectation that the more alive, expressive part of you has become harder to reach.
Something in you is getting harder to hear.
And you don’t want your life to get any smaller than this.
These five simple pauses are here to help you begin noticing the moments when you automatically keep going, fill the space, or move past what you feel before you’ve had chance to check in with yourself.
Not by adding more to your day.
Not by giving you homework.
Not by asking you to do it perfectly.
Just one small interruption to autopilot each day, so you can see what gets in the way, make a little more room for yourself, and take one small step from there.
Because once you can notice what life has been drowning out, you have a little more choice about what happens next.
Leave your name and email below and I’ll send you the first pause.

Why I created this…
Hi, I’m Cathy Ballard.
For years, I’ve been fascinated by one question:
Why do intelligent, self-aware women who’ve done so much work on themselves still feel like they’re holding themselves back?
After more than 25 years working with women through coaching, breathwork and transformational practices, I’ve realised it usually isn’t because they don’t know enough.
It’s because life has become so full of responsibility, noise and expectation that it becomes harder to hear themselves clearly – and easier to keep overriding what they already know.
These five simple pauses are a small place to begin hearing yourself again, noticing what gets in the way, and interrupting the autopilot to make a little more room for yourself.
“It was like discovering an intelligence hidden in my body that answers when I ask and listen!”
– Elin, Artist.
